About

I’m a twenty-something year old Australian traveller, writer, photographer, storyteller, hiker, avid tea drinker and self-confessed chocolate addict. I’ve been travelling solo on and off since 2014 and recently decided that I should just accept that it is my life and not just one extended holiday (like most people think it is!). I’m a try-hard freelance writer and photographer and have been fortunate enough to be published in various magazines and websites.

This blog is a combination of stories, photos, guides and occasionally (amateur) videos, on the places I’ve travelled and hiked so far. Here you’ll find stories of my favourite experiences, informative travel guides to off beat places and photographs and videos that I hope delve beyond travel stereotypes.

I should also mention that I travel solo majority of the time, and yes, I am female. *I’ll wait while you rap your head around that.* I think it’s the most empowering thing a girl can do for herself and if you don’t believe me, read this article I wrote for Dame Traveler.

Be warned, I’m not your average tourist. I prefer slower, more meaningful (budget) travel, and you’ll most likely find me: staying in a homestay or hostel, travelling overland by bus, hiking wherever there are mountains, exploring wherever there is a government travel warning and drinking tea or wine with some locals. If this sounds like your style, then scroll down to read my latest blog posts.

Let’s be honest, I’m mostly only active on the ‘gram these days, which is where you can follow my daily travel stories, followed by very delayed photo posts.

Please contact me directly on the form here, if you want to say hi, find out where I am currently, ask me any questions or want to collaborate or work with me!
